MR. EDITOR: I wish to inquire for my relatives. My father's and mother's names were Nelson Carter and Ann Carter. Brother and sister, Nelson and Rachel. We all belonged to a man by the name of Spain. I and another girl by the name of Maria were stolen during the war, and I was sold in a place called Homer, La., to a negro trader.
