DEAR EDITOR : I desire to inquire about my kin folks, whom I left in Petersburgh, Va. I was sold by John Britton to Henry Davis; and Mark Davis brought me to New Orleans. My mother was named Nancy Fields and my brother William Field, sisters were Jane and Polly Fields. I was very young when I was sold and therefore, cannot rightly state about what time I left home, but it was after the defeat of Henry Clay to President of the United States.
