MR. EDITOR: Allow me to quire for my mother and father. My mother's name was Mariah Strane, and my father's name Jackson Coapney. I have not seen or heard anything about them since(?) the breaking out of the war. They belonged to a man by the name Ransaw Murphy, who lived in Ba[indecipherable] Town, Cherokee Co., North Carolina. The last place I heard them they were at Morgantown Wilkesborough.
