I desire to find my sisters Emeline, Octavia and
Rhoda and my brothers John, Henry and James
Leftwich. We belonged to Maj. Tom Leftwich at
Liberty, Bedford Co., Va., before the war when I
last saw them. In about 1855 I was brought to
Mississippi by a speculator and sold to one Abe
Chilcoat with whom I lived until freedom. My
name was France Leftwich when in Virginia.
