DEAR EDITOR: I desire information of my people. I was taken from them when very small. Mother was Sarah Ives; father, Benjamin Whitis; sisters, Julia, Eliza, and Bettie; brothers, Boston, and Abram. I belonged to Wm. Tunnel, and was born in Craven co., North Carolina. I was sold during the war. We were brought together to Richmond, Virginia, and then were sold and scattered.
