MR. EDITOR—I would like to find my mother; she used to belong to Mrs. Eliza Thompson; her name was Tempy Hall; she was sold from me when I was a little girl; she was sold just before freedom. Her mother was named Binah Hall; her father Jerry Hall. She was sold in Greenville, S. C., by Mrs. Thompson's son, Waddy Thompson. All her relatives live in Greenville, S. C., where she was sold. She wrote to us about eight years ago from somewhere in Tennessee; we answered her letter and asked her if she needed money to come home, and she did not answer the letter, and I have never heard from her since.
