Henry Tolliver reunited with his father Alfred Tolliver. Henry and his father had been separated when they were sold apart. Henry served in the Civil War after emancipating himself by running away from his former enslaver. The men's reunion was joined by Alexander Tolliver, the brother of Henry and son of Alfred.
