Description
Obituary for Scipio Young, born in Virginia c. 1819. He was born into slavery and joined the Union Army at Fredericksburg, VA, at the outbreak of the Civil War. After the war, he came to Pennsylvania, where he lived for the remainder of his life. Young died on December 16, 1920 in Kane, PA.
