HELP BROTHER SCOTT.
Hon. Nelson C. Crews,
Editor of the Kansas City Sun
Dear Sir:--
I desire to give the following in-formation [information] to my many personal friends through the columns of your widely read paper. I, Thomas Scott was born in Virginia, May 12, 1826 and am getting well up in years. I entered the ministry in 1864 while the great Civil War was still going on. I preached many years as a circuit minister in the A. M. E. church. I came to Kansas City away back in 1846 when Kansas City was but a hamlet. I have seen the city grow until it is one of the leading cities of the country. What a wonderful change in its growth and God has blessed me with health and a long life but I am getting a little frail and if my friends would remember this and help me a little I would appreciate it greatly.
Thomas Scott.
