A COLORED ENOCH ARDEN.
Salina Negro Returns to Junction to
Find His Wife Had Wed.
Bud McGee, a colored man, who was
once a resident of this city for about
four years, arrived here from Salina this morning after a year's absence and went
to the place on West Twelfth street that
had been his home before leaving here.
When he entered the house he found an-
other man there and demanded an expla-
nation, only to learn that the other man
and Mrs. McGee had been married sev-
eral months ago.
Bud left here about a year ago to seek
work in the western part of the state
and in his absence he has been working
in Salina, Wichita, Hutchinson and other
points in the western part of the state.
Several months ago Mrs. McGee secured
a divorce in the district court here and
several weeks later she went to Missouri,
where she was married to Henry Garner.
Bud says he and the woman who was his
wife have been corresponding all the time
he was away and that the woman had
never informed him concerning the di-
vorce and her marriage.
Bud came home this morning for the purpose of visiting a short time with his
wife and two children. He is nearly heart
broken over the affair.---Junction City
