George Jones finds wife remarried

SALEM, Sept. 17, 1895.--Nine years ago
George Jones, of Quinton, this county, a
colored man, left home with several horses
to sell in Philadelphia. He told his wife that
he would return in a day or two, but she
never saw him until yesterday morning. In
the meantime, Mrs. Jones, believing her
husband dead, three years ago married
Enoch Pierce, and two children have resulted
from this union. Jones gives no explanation
of his conduct, but he says he has been working
in Connecticut.
