DEAR EDITOR: I desire to inquire for my people. My mother was named Patsy Hairstorn, and belonged to Jubal Hairston, and was sold at Franklin Courthouse, Henry Co., Virginia. She had two sons, Fulton and Sparror Hairston. I belonged to Col. Sam Hairston who lived in Lowndes Co., near Crawfords, Miss. The last time I heard of my people they were in Alabama.
