DEAR EDITOR: I wish to make inquiry about my kindred in South Carolina. We left them in 1867, and have not heard from them since. My father's step-mother is is named Lucy Dewalt. She use to belong to the family of Dewalt's, in South Carolina. We left there in the year 1867 on the account of bush-whackers.
