MR. EDITOR-- I wish to inquire for a friend of mine. We grew up together. He was older than I was. I have not seen him in thirteen years. We belonged to Judge Campbell, in Columbus, Texas, on the side of the river. Judge Campbell bought him when a little boy. He could just remember his mother. He stayed with my mother, grandmother and uncle, named Harriet, Charlotte and Solomon respectively. We called him Billy, but since that time he goes by the name of William Wesley. The last heard from he lived in Harrisburg, Texas. He taught school there. Since then he has moved. I was the only child mother had then, and he nursed me. I am married now. Address me LILLIE D.
