MR. EDITOR: I wish to inquire for my children, whom I left before the war. There were eight. The boys were Ephraim, Andrew, Milas, Silas, James, Henry and George Washington. My name was Harriet Switzer. I belonged to George Switzer, near Newton, Lincoln county, N.C. Alex Boss, their father, died four years before the war. Ephraim belonged to George Switzer. Milas and Silas were twins, and belonged to the Widow Owen's estate in Charlotte. Andrew, James, Henry and Geo. Washington are dead. Mela, Ann, Margaret and Catherine belonged to Aylesmar.
