MR. EDITOR—I wish to inquire about my brother, John Carter, who is a local preacher t St. Paul Church. He left here on the 15th of December, 1878, leaving a wife and four children, who are very much in need, and the last time I heard from him was in Assumption parish, La., at Georgia Plantation, when he was very sick.
