MR. EDITOR--I wish to inquire
through your valuable paper for
my mother's daughter, who was
sold from her when seven years
old. She was sold from her and
carried away, riding behind a Ne-
gro trader. She belonged, as my
mother did, to John Green, but he
becoming broke sold her and all
the children and her husband to
different parties. Since that time
she has nor heard directly from
her. Her name was Martha Nor-
man, though perhaps might be
called Martha Green. Father was
named Granville Norman, mother
