Stephen Collins searching for his uncle Robert Brown or Robert Coleman
MR. EDITOR--I wish to inquire
for my uncle, whose name is Rob-
ert [Robert] Brown. He belonged to Dr.
Brown, in Gonzales, about 28 years
ago. There was three brothers of
them, Robert, Spencer and Witison
Brown. Robert went to Mexico in
1864 I last heard from him about
eight years ago; he was then in
Mexico. One of the brothers, Wit-
ison [Witson] Brown, was killed shortly
after the war; the other, Spencer, is
living at Columbus, Texas; he
goes by the name of Spencer Cole-
man [Coleman]. Any information concern-
ing [concerning] Robert Brown, or Robert Cole-
man [Coleman], will be gladly received by me.
