C. V. McCoy searching for his father's people
MR. EDITOR--I wish to inquire
for the whereabouts of my father's
people. He was born in the town
of Salisborough, Roan county,
North Carolina, in 1824. He was
a blacksmith by trade. He came
down to Louisiana with his owner,
and was sold. I don't know any
of his people by name. He was
raised by his grandmother. His
name is Mumford McCoy. I am
his son. He is now dead. Ad-
