MR. EDITOR: Allow me to in-
quire [inquire] for my son. I have not seen
him for some years. I heard of
him twice or three times, coming
up Tallahatchie river on the boat,
but I did not see him. His name
is James Monroe Miller. My name
is Maria Miller. I belonged to the
widow Shannon, on Tallahatchie
river, near Minter City, Leflore
county. Address me at Minter
City, Miss., care of Rev. J. C. Skin-
ner [Skinner].
