Elvira Claton searching for her parents Peter and Jane Saphran and several siblings
INFORMATION WANTED.--
Of my people. My father's name,
Peter Saphran; my mother's name,
Jane Saphran; my sisters' names,
Maria, Harriet and Sallie Saphran;
brothers' names, Albert and Paris
Saphran. They were all sold at
Memphis, Tenn., and I was taken
to St Louis and sold to a trader
who lived in Texas I also had
a baby whose name was Henry
Pierson, and whom a white woman
took from me in St. Louis. I went
by the name of Elvira Saphran.
