A FREEDMAN IN SEARCH OF HIS WIFE.-- Peter
Mellett (a freedman, whose address is Sumter,
S. C.) desires information concerning the whereabouts
of his wife, whose name is Henrietta, and
who belonged to the estate of Isaac Lenoir, of
Sumter District. She was carried from this section
to one of the Southwestern States about
seven or eight years since.
