Worden Scott, colored, of Mount Pleasant,
Iowa, desires to learn the whereabouts of his
father, John Scott, who is somewhere in Ar-
kansas, possibly not far from Memphis, Ten-
nessee. He was sold seventeen years ago by
Major Benjamin W. Shacklet, of Etna, Scot-
land county, Missouri, to one Biggs, of Mem-
phis, Tennessee. He is of a brownish color,
perhaps fifty-five years old--was once a violin
player, is a farmer, lives on and owns eighty
acres of land. Any information of him will
be thankfully received by his son, Worden, or
by his wife, Mary A. Scott, Mount Pleasant,
Iowa.
