Her name was Carolee Harris or
Carolee Gayarre. Charles Gayarre
was our owner before the war. I
think that he sold her to a man by
the name of Hyman Hart, in Osyka,
Miss. When she left Osyka, Miss.,
I heard that she went to Texas. I
was too young to know much about
it. My father and mother were
living in New Orleans. My mother's
name was Susan and my father's
name was Wilson Harris. We
would be happy to hear from them.
