The Last Seen Project seeks applicants for a Graduate Assistant
The Graduate Assistant will work 14 hours a week (1) identifying, collecting, and uploading Information Wanted and Lost Friends advertisements from microfilmed newspapers, (2) proofing and editing crowd-sourced transcription, (3) tagging the collection, and coordinate social media accounts. Assistant will report to the Director of Research and Analysis and the Project Director. This is a nine-month position, beginning August 2020, provides a stipend ($955/month), and full tuition remission toward the Master’s in History.
Applicants must meet the admission requirements for the MA in History at Villanova, including a Bachelor’s in History or related field. Interest in U.S. History and digital humanities skills preferred.
Deadline to apply is July 15. Applicants should address a letter to the the project director and complete the MA program application by deadline.
